I agree with Thapa- the muted hues really suit the picture. I'm all for acknowledging realities and all that, and this one is pretty poignant, but I wish there were more happy portrait type shots on here. None the less, this is a lovely photograph. :)

Thanks guys. @Riya- what you said makes perfect sense. It's quite weired that we are so distant from 'reality' (here) yet we try to put it across as if it's all we think about. You should also check some of the other pictures of mine, there is hardly any lookout for misery etc there. This one is a bit of exception though not sure why.
