What is FLOP?

If time and space both allowed, we'd have loved to relate an interesting anecdote. Time does, space does not. So let's come straight to the point. Point is never straight though, point is never really anything.
                      FLOP is your time spent on all that's creative, whimsical and personally satisfying. It is a small corner of space occupied by writings, pictures, paintings, sound and what not churned out in a not so sensible frame of mind. So if every morning you wake up with a gripping fear that you're losing it and time's running out, FLOP is your space.

So go on click pictures, write, make films, create videos, sketch, paint, create music and share them with us and others who are willing to be a part of FLOP.

How It Works

We intend to bring out an issue every two months. It’ll be an online issue to start with and then in print eventually. FLOP Magazine is compiled through your efforts and works! As a member, you can submit your works and vote on other members' submissions.  And remember it's about promoting good work more than anything else, so rating/voting for others' submissions is as important as submitting your works.

Based upon your votes and those of our review panel, which even you can be a part of, we decide what goes in to this bimonthly issue. If you are published you are paid the amount promised on the theme page you had submitted your work towards, but more importantly you become a part of the review panel for the next issue.

What FLOP offers

• Allows you to Subscribe to works of FLOP users you like by adding them as favorites.
• You can submit your uploads towards FLOP bimonthly issue.

How it Works : An illustrative Explanation

Upload your original creations on your page.

You can upload Visual Art works (Graphics, Paintings, Photographs…), Writings, Audio-Visual Works (music, films…) and Photo Features ( Photo essays, Photo articles…) and share them with your contacts on FLOP through facilities like “Broadcast Upload".

Submit your uploads to FLOP Bimonthly Issues

• You can submit your uploaded works to FLOP.
• To submit a work to FLOP, select one of the open themes and submit your work towards it.
• Your submissions go through a preliminary screening and are then open for voting.
• To decide what all works are published in our bimonthly issue, we take into account the response you get from your fellow FLOP members, views of our review panel and also quality of your other works on your page on FLOP, which is extremely important because if FLOP claims to promote good artists, we can’t ignore overall quality of your works.

What do I get if I am published?

• You are paid the money promised on the page for the theme you make the published submission under. Please look up the appropriate theme page for the same.
• You become a part of the review panel.

What else can I do?

1. You can recommend artists you think should be featured with FLOP.
2. Keep challenging yourself and upload new stuff.
3. Spread FLOP.

 Where is it headed?

It is up to US. We want FLOP to run on its own, by people interested in it and through efforts of those creating it. Artists contribute and we promote their contributions. And if you see the way FLOP works, you’d realize that eventually it should not need any external support. We ourselves should be sufficient in numbers to create\promote\buy good works.
